I used to have an 89LX and it was fun but pales in comparison to the tossibility of the VWs. Properly tuned however, a Mustang is far beyond a VW in performance, only in tight twisties can a VW keep up. It's like comparing GT and GTS cars to each other. Only thing is, most mustang enthusiasts don't know what properly tuned is or what the steering wheel is for. While we're on apples and oranges, how about the 70 Mach 1 Mustang with the tuned 351 Cleveland I had for 6 months. Now that's a freakin Mustang!
