Sounds like a very thorough rebuild. I just finished doing most of this
myself.
Can the front bearings be pressed with the lower strut still installed >on
the hub carrier? (I don't want to remove the lower strut bolts if >not
necessary, otherwise I will replace those too.)
Yes, it can be done on the car, without taking much apart, with the proper
tool. If you are taking the rest of the strut/control arm apart anyway it
shouldn't matter. The alignment shop will have to loosen/tighten these to
adjust the camber setting. These bolts/nuts should be reusable unless they
are damaged or someone else put the wrong bolt in before.
Parts I think I might need:
A arm bolts
-should be reuseable
ball joint bolt/nuts
-inexpensive, replace
steering rack boots
-??
inner cv bolts
-should be reuseable unless the socket heads are stripped
axle nuts
-you mean the big one at the outside end?, replace these with new
