I am going to be putting a Tectonics intake cam on the 91 gli 2.0l and when i was talking to my mechanic about it he told me that im going to need to have the crankshaft bearing replaced as well. He told me that replacing the cam(s) after 80k miles really wrecks havoc on the crankshaft bearing unless they are replaced. Somthing about the changes of pressure at different times. since the bearings would be worn in a certian way because of pressures put on them by using a stock cam.. thats what after 80k miles, you have to do that as well. Is that true?
