Dudes, I was doing the front brakes on my brother-in-law's scirocco, and I broke the retaining screw holding the disk to the hub... Miraculously, the hardware store was still open at 7:30 on a friday, so I went and bought an easy out screw extractor. Unfortunately, I snapped the tip of the screw extractor off IN the screw. Now I'm stuck with a piece of hardened tool steel down in a hole in the screw. If I try to drill into the screw to use the next size up screw extractor, the F@#$ING thing is too hard and I trash my drill bit. I chisled off the head of the screw so I could remove the disk, but now I want to get the little nub out of my hub so I can put a new rotor + screw on. I know the screw is sort of redundant, but I hate doing this half- assed. There's no way to grab the screw with vice grips at this point Is there another way to get the screw out?
