VERY interesting way of looking at it... And the more I read it the more it
feels like the truth!

Subject: [LINUX.ORG.MT] The 6 types of computer users

There are 6 types of computer users

5 - UBER GEEKS
4 - Geniuses
3 - Experts
2 - Advanced users
1 - Novices
0 - Total Beginners

Uber Geeks find Linux easy to use because they're geeks. Geniuses also find
Linux easy because they're geniuses.

Total Beginners and Novices find Linux easy because they don't do anything
with it except use programs which come installed with the system. I'm quite
sure a monkey can be trained to launch openoffice.org.

The problem lies in 2 and 3. Advanced users and Experts aren't as
"litterate" as Geniuses and Uber Geeks, however, they would like to do more
stuff then novices and total beginners. So, they'd want to install programs,
configure stuff, etc.. etc.. Which is difficult. I think many budding
computer students (such as myself) fall into these two categories. Most
computer students simply abandon Linux and use Windows, maybe until they're
geniuses/uber geeks. Very few keep trying ad nauseum.

Just my 2c
