Denis, will wait t'il am, as modem is in the office.

I need to restore it to the out-of-the box settings and then will ask you guys
about dd-wrt.com and what to do with it.

Actually, I wish it allowed me to accept some device id's as static addresses
(back-end).

I have a server, and with dynamic addressing, the router likes to change IP
addresses every whim it gets. So my backend device wanders from *.101 to
*.106.

Now it locks up every few hours. So either I replace it, or I revert it and
follow the dd-wrt.com instructions for upgrading.

It drives a wireless/wired print server that did not have to be wireless, but
that is what I inherited.

Thanks to Slav, who I will contact if fixing the linksys fails, I have a
fallback.

Leslie

Leslie,

Jeremy knows how to unbrick the wrt54g, I remember him saying that a while
back. So I am sure he can chime in on that!

I am going to unbrick the current router which is a wrt54g. Apparently there
is dd-wrt software or other that may

bring it back to life.

If that fails, then I will contact you to try it.

Found http://www.dd-wrt.com/wiki/index.php/Recover_from_a_Bad_Flash  as a
reference for unbricking the router.
