OK!
I must absolutely state that I failed to notice this situation!
We do have an Order of Engineers and an order of technologists in
Quebec.
When I finished CEGEP in 1977, I was 19.
There was a fight between the 2 orders. and the only thing I recall was
that the technologist order was seemingly acting unethically.
The end result was that they did not get recognized by the Order of
Engineers at the time.
Is that the issue at hand?
It must show that, after the Order of technologist demise in 1977, I
lost all interest in that organization and went about to complete my 35
years carrer in 2013.
Sorry if I missed a few episodes on that debate.

I do agree that theoretical knowledge alone is like practical knowledge
alone... It is not much.
Alone, they do not provide much for the advancement of sciences as each
feed on the other's experiences and findings.
Therefore I think it is safe to say that the sum of both is bigger that
each of them separated.
Synergy is often a good thing.
