From the Merriam-Webster dictionary "copyright" is defined as a transitive verb: "to secure a copyright on" and the adjective is "copyrightable". Like many government agencies in North America there is a language called "government speak" in which "copyrighted" as an adjective would exist. Ducking amongst the rain drops ... ;-)
