What gets my goat is the way Americans turn a noun into a verb when a perfectly good word already exists.
'Deplane' for disembark being my personal most hated example. By the same logic, the act of boarding an aircraft, is to 'plane'. Hmm, I can just see a whole queue indulging in woodwork!
