MessageOnly problem I ever had with a Zenith was when the float valve stuck
closed.
A sharp tap with a hammer sorted that.
Does it happen every time turning onto a roundabout?

  Lawrence,

I have been driving series trucks (and Morgans) for years. I would have to
guess that the problem you are describing is related to fuel level in the carb.
You might also want to make sure your fuel pump is furnishing enough to keep
the level up. If you are running ok at road speed and with a load, likely the
fuel level is the problem. All that said I have never used the aftermarket
Zenith, so it may have problems I'm not familiar with. Good luck!

  Hi Folks,

There are so many Land Rover folks on here please forgive me for asking,
replies can be off-group.

Our son has a 1983 Series III Landy with the standard Zenith 361V carb. It
is a new aftermarket carb that seems to be doing a great job when compared to
the old original except, sometimes, when turning left into a roundabout the
engine stalls momentarily and then restarts. We don't think it's a misfire.
Trying a simulation on roads to the right it doesn't happen.

  Float chamber? The dreaded o-ring?

Has anyone had this and know why it happens? We know Webers and SUs are
better but for now WE have the Zenith and for 20 years we've done ok with them.

  Cheers,

  Lawrence
