The single best thing anyone can do to set up the front suspension of their Morgan is to ensure the lower rebound springs are clear of the stub axles at static ride height. If the rebound springs are compressed in any way, they act to preload the main springs, effectively making the front suspension much harder than it should be, and leading to the depressingly familiar 'nodding dog' effect when driving over anything but the smoothest of roads.
Taking the rebound springs out and cutting them down doesn't even cost 10p!
