My plan, which will change I suspect, is: Get a new retina one for the wife (she does lots of photos). Will be 16GB/512GB, as no point in the smaller ones.
I get her quad machine and put 16GB in it with the hybrid drive. Sell mine for around 75% of what we paid. Not bad for 2 years of use, and it's now out of depreciation, so the tax man is happy.
