Assuming you do, I am not involved in this business (we call show) in any
way, shape, or form.
I'm a lawyer who always wanted to direct.
A funny (at least I think so) story:
We have a weekly staff meeting in my office, where a lawyer (on a rotating
basis) summarizes the latest reported appellate decisions in the criminal arena.
I was doing it my week a few years ago. There was a case involving a
nineteen-year-old boy making some sexually explicit videos with his
fifteen-year-old girlfriend. (Unfortunately, a crime in so many ways!)
I began my summary of the case for the office:
Sure this defendant enjoyed performing sex acts with his girlfriend, but what
he really wanted to do was DIRECT!
The other big movie movie buff in the office literally fell out of his chair
laughing.
Everyone else at the meeting sat there, oblivious to our inside joke.
