The problem is that I've had some really fine work done by some
well-known restorers whose names we would all recognize and also some
really lousy work by the same well-known restorers. Putting a stamp of
the back of posters wouldn't necessarily mean anything.  FRANC

I agree that the work should speak for itself, but having attended a lot
of auctions over the years and having seen a lot of shoddy restoration
jobs it certainly would save a lot of time in looking at items if I knew
lot X was restored by person Y - then I wouldn't even need to waste my
time looking at the piece.
