I do not agree with this at all :
if you had the $ in your account on 4/26, that photo should have been
sent on that day, or no later than 4/30
that's Amazon, but it isn't the real world. All of us that sell have
a variety of tasks and to stop at that moment and package up
someone's item is not realistic. Most people like myself who run a
vibrant sales schedule do shipping once a week and if you look at my
shipping page, it clearly states (in my case) that it can take 7-10
days for your package to ship. It doesn't usually take more than a
few. This is part of the disconnect that buyers have with buying. If
you want it, it's worth waiting for. If you have to have it at this
moment (as the fleaBay/Amazon world has made people), my
recommendation is Wal Mart
that said, what Michael described is fair for his side and unfair
against him in my opinion

I have to say.. just from reading your time line-- between the time
the buyer paid you and the date you were planning on mailing was a
10 DAY spread. Why such a delay? if you had the $ in your account on
4/26, that photo should have been sent on that day, or no later than
4/30. (unless you informed the buyer it would be upwards of 10 days
to mail a single photo).
You also didnt mention what the initial buyer's dispute was. and
after you had his money for 10 days with no item mailed, a hold
seems the right action to take. I would have been highly annoyed as
well. He paid immediately in good faith, and you chose to sit around
for 10 days doing nothing. Not good business. For all he knew, you
had taken his money and run.

Hi MOPO,
After 10 years of selling I finally got my first negative feedback!
If I were you I would avoid ebay id colonel_john_sheppard of Larry Casey
who may also go by Bob Morane, Clausse Laurent or wraiths. He collects on
Logan's Run.
This buyer paid on 4/25. I transferred the money to my account on 4/26,
wrapped the package on 5/3 and was planning to mail it on 5/4. I logged onto
my Paypal account that morning to find that the buyer had filed a buyer
dispute which caused the money to be taken from my account and
placed in "held"
status. I emailed the buyer and told him that if he removed the hold, the
package would go out that afternoon. He insisted that I should mail the
package first. Within 24 hours, he had escalated to a buyer claim and left me
negative feedback. I "resolved" the case by refunding his money. This on a
$17 photo that would have taken almost a week to arrive in France by
Global Priority in any case.
I have learned my lesson. In any case where a spurious complaint has been
made, I will instantly refund the money and hopefully cause the ebay sale to
be voided and avoid getting bad feedback.
Thanks, Michael, Cinecityposters</HTML>
