My immediate thought is that the seller is psychic, and that she knew you
would "go public" with this BEFORE even giving her a chance to respond, so
SHE wrote that "message" to you before sending it off!

Seriously, you are of course right that there should have been a better
description and photo. When this happens to me, I PRIVATELY contact the
seller asking for a refund of my purchase price plus full shipping both
ways, so I lose nothing but a little time and heartache.

If they reply that I am out of luck, I file a PayPal dispute, get my money
back, and then never bid with that person again. But if they are nice about
it and do refund all my money and shipping, then I give them the benefit of
the doubt and bid with them again (but of course if it happens a second
time, I stop buying from them altogether, even if they refund the second
time).
