I only have a small number of autographed posters in my collection
one is a 1sh from Inferno (1953) that I had Rhonda Fleming sign for
me when I was one of the many sponsors for Cinevegas Film Festival in 2004.
all the rest are Harryhausen posters that I had Ray sign for me in
1990 or 91 at a Dallas convention.
I had him sign every Harryhausen item I owned, plus some more that I
bought there.
In this case, I would say that it certainly doesn't devalue any of
them as they are all signed in a fair space (meaning, not on anyone's
face, over an effect etc). It may even raise the value $20 each. But
it wouldn't be a significant increase in any case.
I doubt that the Double Indemnity one sheet with Stanwyck's autograph
could be worth more than the one sheet due to it's value
it's a personal thing of course. I would most certainly not get a
David Prowse autograph on that Birthday poster.
have him sign a regular SW one sheet, which is easily replaced
