Ron Kulp mentioned SOLAQI in regard to the MOQ August 29th: >I don't want to come up with another philosophy, but if I feel >that MOQ has some holes in it I'm going to point them out.
Ant McWatt comments: Sounds good to me. >I realize this is way out there, and risk being branded some >kind of heretic but I think I have a point. >Not like what I think means a damn in hell to anyone anyway. Ant McWatt comments: Evidently, not exactly a new problem: "The way to dusty death. Out, out, brief candle! Life's but a walking shadow, A poor player that struts and frets his hour upon the stage And then is heard no more, It is a tale told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, Signifying nothing." extract from the "The Tragedy of Macbeth", Act V, Scene V. >Thanks for indulging my curiosity.... >you ought to at least check out what Dan had to say about the whole thing > >http://members.tripod.com/~Glove_r/SOLAQI.htm > >very interesting... I wonder what made him change his tune about it. He >never explained that. Dan replied to Ron August 30th 2007: I put together the website you refer to years ago, way back in 1998 or thereabouts. I find that my thinking has evolved over the years as I gain more experience with the MOQ. I like to think that I am flexible in that regard. I feel that I gained a great deal of insight during the work on LILA'S CHILD as well as reading the discussions here plus I have learned a great deal from Ant McWatt's work. Ant McWatt comments: Thanks for that Dan. I'm glad to hear it. I found (and still find) LILA'S CHILD very useful in clarifying many of the subtler points of the MOQ especially because of the annotations by Robert Pirsig found there. Regarding the SOLAQI, I found it a pity that Bodvar (who was also helpful in my understanding of the MOQ from over ten years ago) spent so much time and energy of the last ten years arguing for this revision to the MOQ which quickly never went anywhere. Best wishes, Anthony . _________________________________________________________________ Get Pimped!
