In order to show that 2 things are contradictory, you must have an argument 
that proceeds from the truth of one to the falsity of the other.  Where's your 
argument?
1) The past does not exist now.
2) The past is not a concept.  
The past is the whole of what has occurred before now.  The concept of the past 
exists now.  So, the past cannot be a concept.

I believe the earth existed before man & that we have overwhelming evidence for 
this.  What additional do you require for knowledge?

My guess is that you realize time is relative (also space, e.g., "center of the 
universe").  From this it does not follow that "there is only now".  Also time 
is not confined to our solar system.  Not only do we receive light from outside 
our solar system, but we have sent probes outside our solar system which have 
reported back.
