Now that's using the wits, enjoying the woods,
feedin' the stomach, exercisin' the legs, and lovin'
the family togetherness. Practicing reality has many,
many experiences poke their heads out. I'm sure more
happened than this on all levels. What's happening
with the autumn leaves your way? I know your a little
further north than I.
How long does one need to boil acorns until their
ready to eat? Is it until the pungent taste goes
away? Do you have to roast them?
I was up three days ago before sunrise. My son
woke me up. He's only a little over one year now. We
went out front and made a fire. Collected some wood,
placing them in the flame as the one piece burns into
two pieces, and the dark world, wind, clouds cleared
away as the morning light blanketed the clearing sky.
My son walked around going, "A A A A A ,DA DA DA
DA DA DA DA," and pulled on the rope the dog was
strung up near us at moments. The dog would just lick
him. Then the dog walked by a small pumpkin that my
son rolled nearby, and the rope hit the pumpkin, it
rolled down the hill, I grabbed my son, tried to catch
up with it, and I thought it was near the dirt road.
I moved my foot around, but couldn't see it in the
dark. When it was light out I saw the pumpkin. It
went across the dirt road and into the neighbors yard
down the hill. We picked it up after we went to the
park for a walk through hay fields and woods. What a
reality this is.

thanks.

night now,
SA
