[Ron] On a lighter note, we must set up a meeting this year... [Arlo] Absolutely. Boxers is one of my favorite places in that area, a frequent road destination. I'd be happy to buy you a stoudt or two. BTW, I saw Social Distortion in Philly a few years back. Great show. And their cover of Ring of Fire is phenomenal.
My bike is in its winter-home back home (near Pottsville). Wasn't a very good riding year for me, between my mom's surgery, work, weather and what not, I ended up riding less miles than I have in years. Last year I delayed storage on it until around this time, and let me tell you I had the _coldest_ ride of my life, a half-bottle of Jim Beam and sitting on a coal stove and I was _still_ cold. So this year I took advantage of the warm weather a few weeks back and took it down then. It was funny, to relate this to Pirsig's rain-ride described in ZMM, that on that ride down last year, with flurries in the air, I saw people staring at me in their car's as they passed looking at me like 'what the hell are you doing on a bike in this weather". Like Pirsig, I was sure I could not answer them. Also, you, DMB, Ian and Joe made some insightful and interesting comments I'd love to reply to, but have to digest this a bit more. Don't take silence as anything other than my thinking a bit before replying.
