Matt, Chris,

I agree with your remarks Chris. Matt's introduction is a very good
one, but is again very much in the "knowing" context of academic
philosophy .... and Matt knows I don't use an adjective like
"academic" pejoratively. It's great that one furrow being ploughed is
to get Pirsig taken more widely and seriously in that context - good
luck to those on that course - fitting Pirsig into "the body of the
kirk" - known as philosophy.

I can't help thinking that there is further value to be had for
humanity at large in promoting MoQism beyond philosophy and literary
art. The man in the street, as it were.

But what do I know ?

David Morey and I (and no doubt others) have been gently pushing MoQ
(by any other name) in some other community contexts - science,
wisdom, inclusionality, sustainability ... beyond this forum and our
various personal blogs.

You are right about the double-edged dilemma - "selling" what is
natural - we mentioned that already. But I don't believe "do nothing
more" is the best answer, but what do we all do once we've "tended our
own garden" ?

Keep talking.
Ian
