Steering away from dictionary definitions, as is my wont, ...

I like that Ron. We've have had terrible trouble before disentangling
individual / collective issues from the social & cultural (and the
social vs intellectual) ... and I think your "definition" is a
promising statement of the reality.

Intellect as relationship involving individual and culture.

The nature of that relationship (quality) - Questioning at one
extreme, dominated by authority at the other.

I shall muse on that a little longer.

Thank you, I think it clears up a lot. In this way, cultures may
Be assessed by their value of this relationship. 

This is why I thought that essay on Radical metaphysics was so
interesting.
For it focused on the development of this relationship.

I think these are the sorts of defining aspects needed to get
A better understanding of the MOQ. In many ways I feel MoQ
Falls into the category of a radical metaphysic.
