Absolutely SA,

Having disagreement is good - difference is source of progress,
dynamic quality, democracy, freedom, the lot ...  and that is in no
way conflicting with trying to find agreement. Agreeing to disagree
can only ever be a temporary tactic, never an objective.

Amy Tan keeps turning up. I'm gonna have to read.
