Hi All
I have just received a video from Anthony McWatt about the
Liverpool conference and must thank him officially for that. It was
strange to see all these persons live who so long have been
abstract pieces of conversation. Robert and Wendy Pirsig I have
met before (in Oslo 1994) but the rest were new to me - to the
degree they are identified - everyone had name tags, but some
were so far away around the pub table that I'm not sure who's who.
Anyway, the Doctor Candidate himself, "Horse" chatting with
Maggie Hettinger, David Buchanan and Paul Turner talking with
Pirsig, Ian Glendinning presenting his (impenetrable ;-) diagrams.
Mati Palm-Leis telling about his campfire MOQ talks. Khoo Hock
Aun giving a (selfmade?) painting to RMP, DMB at the lectern
peering scholarly atop his glasses. The interview with Ronald
DiSanto I guess was made in beforehand. I'd only wish that the
video had been texted - even in English - not easy to follow the
various drawls and dialects (had I been there you wouLd have had
another:) OK, most papers are to be found at the moq.home site
The video was very professional with psychedelic colors at the
appropriate places, "marmalade sky" an all. Hope there will be a
documentary about Pirsig's way to the MOQ sooner or later.
