SA: It was Chris who brought this up. Chris then mentioned intellectual
patterns are 'knowledge for knowledges sake' or 'quest for knowledge' is an
intellectual activity. Many have tried to point out the intellectual - social
distinction, via conflict if we use Chris' recent adjunct which I find helpful.
Swinging this another way, I find 'art of wild flowers' a good analogy or
artwork for what I find intellectual patterns doing and what art has to deal
with when art confronts intellectual patterns. Intellectual patterns can try
to contemplate and latch patterns to 'figure-out' "art of wild flowers" and by
contemplating this art, intellect can, but the static patterns of intellect are
a rougher going for art to deal with, for intellectual patterns are more rigid
than art, if the higher level static patterns are more free analogy holds up.
So, still contemplating on 'artful wild flowers' this will take a lifetime
and the intellectual patterns will still not be able to 'contain' this art.
