Of course when atoms form professors they do perform choices that reflect
these
higher levels of pattern. And if you disrupt the pattern, run the professor
over,
you loose the higher level of organisation and the possibilities that they
possess.
No more lectures at least, yet still the same atoms splashed across your

Atoms exercise choice, only their repertoire of choice is limited to the
biological level, and at a lower level of sophistication then, say, a tree
frog.
A chemistry professor's choice includes a repertoire of social and
intellectual
responses that an atom lacks.
