NLP wil totally agree and will go further than that. It suggests that
emotions are the result of the way one puts the static patterns together
after the DQ experience. Once you know what particular pattern results in
what emotion, you can change i.e. control it. These are different to
different individuals.
Quite simply because one DQ experience can be traumatic for one person
whilst it can be a relief for another person.
Note I am not talking about the DQ pre-intellectual experience. I am talking
about the observation that static emotional PoV's can be controlled and
therefore changed.
