Well, at least Pirsig lists democracy among the intellectual patterns.
I'm not a "word for word" adherer, but here he is in agreement with the
MOQ. The term "community" implies a rule (anarchy spells the
dissolution of society) and the most basic is despotism so when the
rule is democratic it's society controlled by intellect. There is no "as
such" in the MOQ, f.ex. a human being is an an aggregate of Q-levels
that dominates the lower one.

IMO it's not possible to imagine a "constitution" based on these things
that ignores truth. Truth is synonymous with "objectivity"; the first stage
of SOM (in ZAMM) and clearly the ditto of the intellectual level. From
this sprang all the above said patterns. Particularly the independent
judicial system is THE example of an intellect-dominated society.

Now, that's most aptly and IMO what all those "Day after tomorrow"-
type films are about. The modern Q-intellect-dominated society
collapsing after some catastrophe and the basic Q-social despotism
taking control because it's more basic and more stable. I don't think
we really disagree.
