Hi Ham,

Indeed it's a slippery slope, greased by decendants of Huey Long, Louisiana
governor and senator who proposed in 1934 the "Share Our Wealth Society,"
promising $5000 cash to every family and guaranteed minimal annual income,
pensions for the aged, and grants for everyone's education. His slogan:
"Every man a king."

The more things are advertised as "change," the more they stay the same --
"What had happened since the end of World War I was that the intellectual
level had entered the picture and taken over everything. It was this
intellectual level that was screwing everything up." (Lila, 24)

Now it's Harvard Law Review intellectual types about to lead us to a brave
new world. Be ready to spend time doing "community service." I know you are
going to enjoy serving soup.

Regards,
Platt
