MP: then why bother calling it Quality?

[Krimel]
See my post to Marsha for an elaboration but in short: Quality is a what
Case calls the sense of senses. It allows the combination of discrete
sensory input into a unity. The mammals all have this. In humans it is
further developed and includes much more than issues of life and death. We
actually enjoy having our emotional responses manipulated. Music does this.
So does storytelling. Modern forms of the narrative arts are nothing short
of guided meditations during which we lose all sense of self and allow our
emotions and experience to be manipulated by the actors and director. So
Quality in this way has a much greater significance that "simple biological
self preservation".
