Pretty accurately describes the "purpose" of a great many, eh? Quite frankly, with purposes like that, who needs one, eh? I think I recall an old Bloom Country skit where Opus (and Cutter John) embark on a trans-Atlantic flight in a flying wheelchair. Presumed lost at sea, Opus' epithet read something like "Fed Squid". Now there's a "purpose", "To provide a tasty meat snack for cephalopods". Speaking of this, did you ever notice that those who proclaim we have a "purpose", always make it something loudly Valiant? What if, like the dinosaurs, our only purpose is to breed enough so that a new species a million years from now will have a source of fossil fuel (made from our decomposing bodies)? Actually this isn't much worse than being created to masturbate the needy ego of a fairly petty and narcissistic "Source"? And at least being here for the sole purpose of decomposing into oil leads us to have some fun whilst here, rather than spending our time adulating about how wonderful and magnificent the "Source" is (all the while hoping not to piss it off).
