[WillBlake]
I appears that you are looking towards a certain few, or to certain laws to
improve human behavior.

[Arlo]
Empty rhetoric.

[WillBlake]
In this way, you are able to justify your position on supporting such dictates.

[Arlo]
I have justified my position based on experience, history and reason.

[WillBlake]
By asking for specifics you imply that you do not understand the impact of
technology on societal behavior.

[Arlo]
Really? That's too funny since my work is primarily about the ways
computer-mediated communication interfaces with the social lives and identities
of those who use such tools. Funny. To this end, I am familiar with a wide body
of research on media literacy, intra- and inter-community adoptions of media
tools, the construction of identity in socio-cultural contexts, structuration
theories, etc. Perhaps you could suggest something in particular I missed,
since you feel you have an "understanding" I missed?

By asking for specifics, I am asking you to SUPPORT your claims. I gather this
simple thing is beyond you, that you prefer making empty and unsubstantiated
claims, and then crying when asked for support. Oh well.

[WillBlake]
Should I assume that I am communicating with someone who has just come in from
the woods? Try some reading on the subject.

[Arlo]
Since YOU made the claim that "improved communication" has improved the
treatment of minorities, perhaps you could suggest something I could read that
supports that?

Can you give me any examples of areas, places, events, etc. that would serve to
substantiate your claims? Where and what media have, over what historical time,
led to which improvements in the treatment of minorities?

Your inability to do more the spew empty claims is pretty sad, WillBlake, but I
do understand your frustration when asked to substantiate them. I would be
frustrated too, if I had none.
