Yeah Platt, Arlo doesn't understand that natural rights are of individuals and people reason them. People are natural. Natural rights are naturally reason by individuals as the best way possible to minimize conflict. But Arlo advocates stealing so he's all for conflict. He says he can take my land...lol
And as this document among many, many documents clearly shows is that even Jefferson who wrote this document understood that the government operates by the consent of the people. It is people that provide the justice and rights. This document was written by a *person* named Thomas Jefferson. Governments don't write. Governments operate due to people operating them in accord with what the people find to be the most lawful and just (justice) way. And so it is each individual person to be lawful and to operate lawfully in any society, that individual is to follow - the law. That person is to demonstrate - the law. The law only exists when each individual follows and demonstrates - the law. But Arlo advocates stealing so he doesn't understand - the law. I am advocating - the law. Whether this government or any individual wants to continue abiding by - the law - then it is individuals that are to demonstrate and follow - the law - and carry out justice when necessary. Like some sheriffs in the old west, from some stories I've heard, used to name their gun - justice. Cause biologically law of jungle criminals know - no boundaries - and a good civil society keeping law and order intact to keep the peace may need to enact self-defense from time to time. Reason would stop criminals from going in a bad way, but criminals don't reason with other people they only act in violence. good post Platt.
