I got stuck reading about British Emergentism. This has probably already been discussed before in this forum because it appears to be similar to MoQ, in some ways.

Absolutely. And the more you read about theories of emergence, the more you will realize that Platt's willful ignorance on the topic is dismissable. Indeed, the theory of emergence captures the MOQ evolutionary process to the "T". It is a theory of freedom, of the unexpected, of how macroscopic patterns can appear and reside on smaller patterns which have no intent nor "cognizance" of the processes residing "above" them.
