Bodvar to Andre,All: Andre: > Clarification please Bodvar;are you suggsting that the importance of > your SOL lies in retaining SOM's 'objectivity'? A simple yes or no > will do.
To this I can answer a simple YES! But you also ask for "clarification" i.e. an explanation. Yes, the importance of the SOL is to preserve is the S/O DISTINCTION and this can only be done by relegating it the 4th. intellectual level, all of it, every last bit. Andre: Is this for posterity's sake Bodvar? To put in the family album? Both ZMM and LILA have dealt with this. They have dealt with this distinction and they have dealt with the subjectivity/ objectivity stuff. I'm sorry but this is becoming a very tired discussion and a very obstinate, (must say) misguided tour de force of yours. I really think it is time to give credit to Mr. Pirsig where it is due. You are out of date Bodvar and it is time to move on. Bodvar: the MOQ is the Quality Reality having no place inside its own static range ... if logic prevails. Andre: The MoQ is a description, a conceptualisation, a high quality intellectual idea of 'capturing' DQ/SQ. It is never, and can never be Reality itself. There is no MoQ in direct experience and as Nagarjuna shows, there is no 'reality' in (and of) the description either. It is empty, and even emptiness is empty. This is what makes his position so powerful. and seemingly contradictory/paradoxical/illogical. Mr. Pirsig understands this and has placed the MoQ within a radical pragmatic (conventional) framework. You obviously don't understand this. Please do not attribute your misunderstanding on Mr. Pirsig by faulting him on many a turn. I am sorry to hear of your eyesight problem and hope this does not indicate something serious Bodvar. I highly respect you as a person and contributor to this Discuss. Hope it get resolved soon.
