I also read some theorizing about why it's more socially accepted for men to stray than women - based upon purely biological reasonings... I think it was actually E.O Wilson, but my memory is hazy. By that theory though, it would be more acceptable for a woman to have an affair after she's passed the reproductive age, and I can sorta get that. I can even sorta squint and imagine catching Lu at it with the cabana boy and sorta think to myself "well, she's been a good wife and borne me five kids. She deserves a bit of fun I guess." And I can't afford right now to take her on a cruise. I'd definitely fire the cabana boy tho. To allow one's faithful wife an indiscretion is one thing, but to encourage it smacks of disrespect for the institution. Always good to hear from you, Margaret.
