Because this makes a great deal of differrence in the meaning. It needs to be stated that it breaks the rigid confinement of what intellectual good means and not no choice at all or freedom from choice. With this explanation it means a greater range of choice. This is what I mean about a shift in context from an overall general understanding of what DQ means in relation to the overall "framework" and what DQ means within a particular context of dogma and rigid conceptual values.
