Hi John,
I know this book. It was the "The Artist's Way" that started me journaling
every day. I used those black & white, marbled, student, composition books and
wrote, at the very least, three pages per day. After twelve years and within a
year after my husband died, I had a ritual and burned them all in the barbecue.
When I started journaling there were a few days where there were three pages
of a single word. But usually they were filled with "stuff": the good, the
bad, the ugly and the beautiful - stories, letters, poems, rants and addressing
the good and the bad of a thorny problem, & joy - stuff. I don't really
remember more than the journaling exercise, but along with meditation, I am
very happy I started such a practice.
