Khoo had said;
Marsha said: "It is the West's over involvement with intellectual patterns
that prevents having this experience"
This is an eureka moment for the discussion group. Something worthwhile to
comment on.
The actual evil is not in the concepts or objects or the patterns in
themselves but the attachment to them, most times associated with
self-identity and self-worth.
There is no anti-intellectualism as there is no anti-materialism here.
Mystics see intellect and material manifestations for what they are, the
role they play in functioning existence on this plane and nothing more.
Others construe patterns, concepts and objects to get a handle on their
lives, and the evil is in when they hanker after these for fear of letting
go. Dynamic Quality remains hidden in plain sight.
Yet, Marsha is right. DQ is accessible to all those who see through the
patterns for what they are. The fascination with patterns, technology,
baubles, things and all things material impedes the vision. There is none
so blind as those who would not see.

What is being discussed and argued over is the meaning of the "hero's journey"
We contend that the full meaning of the hero's journey lies in the
return from the dynamic unknown with a "boon" (as Joe Campbell uses)
to society. To be the artist and effectivly comunicate.
While it seems to us that the mystics maintain that what the Zen would call
180 degree enlightenment is the more moral aim . They rest on the immediate
now of no mind.
We see that as intellectually retarded and arresting growth.
This is the big conflict and I do believe Horse has said it best.
