Hi all

Appearances and reality, how could we ever think that anything we experience is not real, surely it is all real, might be different sorts of real, but it is all real. Is the mirage real? of course it is, you just can't walk up to it and drink from it like the other sort of visions of an oasis. Is the stick in the water really bent, well yes the stick in the water really does look bent, but the stick you pull out of the water does not, it is all real but different sorts of real. Ideas are real, things you can kick are real, things you can write about are real, yes pink fish that can speak are real, but they are real fictions created by the imagination, just not been created by natural selection, but still real. Feelings are real, all qualities are real, whether attached to objects, thought, imagined, felt, described, communicated about. Everything fits into DQ or SQ, or in to the levels of SQ, even nothing is real and should not be left out. Appearances are all real, real appearances. Is anything more real? Well experience is unavoidable, the context for every other pattern that we experience, whether in the shared empirical sphere or the privately imagined sphere it is all real. Are some patterns or SQ somehow prior to others in time, well sure in context 2 we can tell a cosmic story of nothing and plasma and particles and atoms and molecules and plants and animals and human beings and there is probably a pretty set order in which these patterns of SQ can emerge, but they are all real, and new qualities emerge at the higher levels that transcend the qualities of the lower/earlier levels. Is this not the MOQ that we can all agree on? Sure context 1 comes first, experience is the context of all SQ, but context 2 allows us to understand how experience has evolved up to and includes the human level as the flame at the top of the tree to use an alchemist image, flame is a good image for DQ, it rises up the tree of the SQ levels, existing at each level, the tree is made of water, as it is all patterns in the flux and flow, the coming and going, frozen, eddying but for just a moment, moving in waves, like a fountain, flowing and pouring and recycling, substanceless I suggest, based on relationship between one pattern and another in the process of change, every relationship a form of experience on different levels.
