I guess it depends on what you mean by
metaphysics the M in MOQ. To philosophize (the
metaphysics aspect) a quality reality is
intellectualized, as Pirsig pointed out that the
Metaphysics in the MOQ is definitional, meanwhile,
Quality is non-definitional. A contradiction in
terms, thus, illogical to put together in one meaning
called MOQ. So, you might see the confusion here when
you say "Disagreement... when... MOQ to be an
intellectual pattern." Metaphysics is an intellectual
pattern. Metaphysics is the menu, and Quality is the
food eaten that you may pick from the menu.
Metaphysics is intellectual. Quality is direct
experience. Thus, metaphysics joined with quality in
the same format called MOQ, changes the kind of
metaphysics we're discussing. A intellectual pattern
incorporating quality. An intellectual pattern
defining the undefinable. Thus, S/O is a paradox, but
this paradox joined with quality is pointing at
something that is NOT the divide. Thus, even me able
to discuss about 'something' NOT the divide is an
intellectual discourse, intellectual defining about
quality, and we know quality is NOT S/O. This is how
I see quality changing S/O intellect into a static
quality intellect that is NOT S/O, especially the
divide aspect. And of course, I did not rid S and O,
but a shift in how S and O are perceived happens with
quality intellectualized or in other words, quality
metaphysics, quality philosophized, undefined defined,
etc...
