[Platt to Arlo]
Wrong. The assumptions of capitalism in the context you present are: 1)
People labor to improve the quality of life, and 2) Those who amass wealth
provide the capital required to improve the quality of life.

[Case]
What Arlo is talking about and you are ignoring is the value of public
capital. That is the infrastructure that We the People hold in common such
as public lands, highways, electromagnetic spectrum, public facilities etc.
etc. These too are wealth. You also repeatedly demean the value of public
service which constitutes a sizable proportion of the work force.
