Quoting Case <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>: > [Platt to Arlo] > Wrong. The assumptions of capitalism in the context you present are: 1) > People labor to improve the quality of life, and 2) Those who amass wealth > provide the capital required to improve the quality of life. > > [Case] > What Arlo is talking about and you are ignoring is the value of public > capital. That is the infrastructure that We the People hold in common such > as public lands, highways, electromagnetic spectrum, public facilities etc. > etc. These too are wealth. Electromagnetic spectrum? Like a highway? Seems to me you left out a couple of steps between the former and the latter, the first step being the creation of wealth so it can be taxed to build a highway. (Dont think youll gain much revenue from taxing electromagnetism.) Demean the value of public service? I guess you missed my positive comments about the police and military. ------------------------------------------------- This mail sent through IMP: http://horde.org/imp/ moq_discuss mailing list Listinfo, Unsubscribing etc. http://lists.moqtalk.org/listinfo.cgi/moq_discuss-moqtalk.org Archives: http://lists.moqtalk.org/pipermail/moq_discuss-moqtalk.org/ http://moq.org.uk/pipermail/moq_discuss_archive/
