[Platt] What you say is new? [Case] Since you seemed either not to have heard it or not to understand it; I assumed it was new to you. [Platt] That's straight out of the Democratic party playbook and what you have been spoon fed by leftist teachers. [Case] So all teachers are leftists or just mine? (See my repeated references to your insulting of public employees.) As for a "Democratic party playbook" that is just talk show BS but if you have a copy could you send it to me? [Platt] The facts are that those who regulate the radio waves are paid from taxes just as those who build highways are paid from taxes. The source of taxes is the work and wealth produced by individuals. You can't tax what hasn't been produced. [Case] With out the government; without taxation; whatever wealth could be created would be at the mercy of brigands. The creation of even private wealth depends on government to enforce the rules of economic life. But if you do not wish to participate you are not required to do so. [Platt] Furthermore, the electromagnetic spectrum and other natural phenomena would be worthless without the work of individuals to make it useful to man. Until you realize these basic facts of nature, you will continue in ignorance to blather on about public this and public that. [Case] So the atmosphere has no value until we dump smoke into it? The water has no value until we pour chemicals into it? The forest has no value until we clear cut it? But let me ask you this: are these opinions of yours just knee-jerk right wing personal paranoia or is there actually some political theory behind it? Is this the Ayn Rand thing? Are you dyed in the wool Republican or do you have libertarian leanings? In short where in the heck are you coming from? moq_discuss mailing list Listinfo, Unsubscribing etc. http://lists.moqtalk.org/listinfo.cgi/moq_discuss-moqtalk.org Archives: http://lists.moqtalk.org/pipermail/moq_discuss-moqtalk.org/ http://moq.org.uk/pipermail/moq_discuss_archive/
