The shit happening is random only from a pre-deterministic perspective - ie the individual initiating dynamic disturbances "have a life of their own" - where these lead - towards "progress" - is a feature of the loopy processes - loops across multiple levels with ratchets to reduce reversals.

At one point I blamed confusion on a naïve reading of Pirsig as well but at one point he does claim to somehow be reconciling ooops with an Omega Point. If you can explain that I would be grateful.
