How do you know they are bad guys? The Navajo
raided and robbed other tribes. This was their
technique to survive - their way of life. Just as a
"thief as a wolf and society as sheep". The law says
robbing is wrong. The Navajo didn't see it as
robbing, but as living. Sure neither is always right
or always wrong, and you mentioned more than one
perspective. At work now I'm having a tough time
convincing staff to enforce rules, and so the
residents slowly are getting out of hand. The staff
keep saying how chaotic it is when I'm not around - I
say ok, then do something about it. For days I've
been saying it. Fear is involved, and lack of
confidence, know-how, and decision-making is what the
staff need to work on. Tough time enforcing rules.
Rules that are found at this placement facility and
NOT outside the facility, yet, rules that have been
put in place for a reason - organization and safety.
Yet, convincing staff the immediacy of this might take
hold only after the residents are negative enough with
the staff for the staff to finally get triggered to
say enough is enough. I can talk all I want, but they
might have to experience the side-effects of
negativity to want to rid it.
As to bad guys winning, my point is who are the
bad guys? In five hundred years those that don't
visit the moon might be seen as backwards and
untrustworthy due to lack of experiencing the larger
universe.
