Hi SA I think you can draw a potential/actual line through experience to make good sense of it. So yes, it divides experience in two, whilst at bottom (unconceptualised or un-cut) it is one.
Is not all choice about potential? I stand at the cross roads, I have the potential to stand still, go right or left or straight on. This is the multiple-potential and we are able to actualise one potential at any given moment. I actualised this email and left many others unrealised.
