Are you really saying this is the preferred social level arrangement, but you just don't want to call it "society" because that carries the baggage of the erstwhile giant ? I don't care what we call it, but that's how I would see the arrangement too. I call it "changing" society, you call it "destroying" society and replacing it with something else. I'm game. I still get down very quickly to the practical issues of how we "encourage" evolution in that direction, and how we protect "it" from counter-evolutionary forces ...
