Hi Jennifer, These are great responses. Thanks for sharing. I've been stressing "thinking while reading" a lot with my kids. Of course, I've demonstrating how I do this. Since this is something so ingrained in me that it's sometimes hard, with a whole class watching, to slow down long enough to reveal my thinking process to them. I think preparing ahead of time, though it may seem artificial, helps in this process. Elisa

I also got, "thinking will make you smarter," "Never fake read" and "More thinking is better than less thinking." All of this was in their inventive spelling of course! Jennifer
